The Association of European Businesses (AEB) is regularly updating the programme of the 10th IMAF—2019 (International Moscow Automotive Forum) that will take place on 27—28 August 2019, during the international exhibition MIMS Automechanika Moscow. IMAF will bring together key professionals from the automotive industry at the Expocentre, Moscow. The topic of the Forum is “AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY MEETS THE FUTURE: GLOBAL PROSPECTS”. The AEB Modernisation & Innovations Working Group is pleased to invite you to its open event entitled ”SPIC-2: a tool for innovation development and technology transfer?”, which will be held on September 11th, 2019, at the AEB premises (Butyrsky Val, 68/70, bld.1, ground floor, office 13), from 10:00 to 13:00 (registration from 09:30). The meeting will focus on the technological and legal aspects of the updated mechanism of special investment contracts (SPIC-2). It will serve as a platform for the discussion of key challenges for innovation development and the diffusion of cutting-edge technologies in Russia, the perspectives for implementation of high-tech projects with the support of SPIC 2.0, advantages and disadvantages of SPIC 2.0 in comparison to SPIC 1.0 in terms of the protection of investors. The event will be moderated by Michael Akim, Chairman of the AEB Modernisation & Innovations Working Group, Vice-President on Strategic Development, ABB Russia. Registration will close as soon as we reach the maximum number of participants and the latest at noon on September 10th, 2019. The working languages of the meeting is English and Russian. In 2016, the AEB joined the International Insurance Law Association/Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances (AIDA) as AIDA National Chapter in Russia. Under this umbrella, the AIDA Insurance Legislation Working Group (AIDA Russian Chapter) within the AEB Insurance and Pensions Committee has organized and plans to hold a series of events on legal aspects of the insurance business in Russia and beyond. This event will cover the following topics: legal environment of solvency II, state supervisory focus and measures, changes in the internal control processes and risk management and practical aspects as well as learning from European insurers and regulators. The event will also provide a platform for discussion and exchange of ideas and solutions, as well as a unique networking opportunity. We expect participation of experts from the Central Bank of Russia; All-Russian Insurance Association (ARIA); AIDA National Chapters; insurance supervisory bodies from European countries; insurance companies; science and public organizations in the conference.
