20.01.22  13:00-15:00 IWC Business Lunch Group
Dear friends, we are happy to introduce our interest group called Business Lunch. The concept of the group is to socialize, make new friends among members of IWC and explore Moscow. There are numerous good restaurants offering lunches held between 12:00 – 16:00 with fixed menu and prices during the working days of the week, the range of the price is between 600 -1000 rubles. The year before lockdown we enjoyed lunches in such places as Pushkin Café, Black Thai, Nuebo, Karlson and many others. Every month we look for and find new places with local or international cuisine, nice atmosphere and design of the restaurant. Our interest is in trying new places that we can return there on other occasions with our families and friends. We will do new registration of the members to the group this year, as a lot of our friends are relocated to other countries. We will make a group called Business Lunch on What’s up and there will place the announcements of our scheduled Lunches, this way it is easy to get organized all together and be up to date if any changes. We make pictures of us during the event and later also share them with each other. More info: iwcmembership@gmail.com

21.01.22  10:30 IWC Painting on Silk/Batik Group
Batik is one of the most ancient arts and any piece is unique, because its fully handcrafted and depends only on the artist. We begin our class with practicing cold batik technique. Cold batik is the most popular silk technique and can be used by professional and beginner. Later we try the free batik technique, once you have experience working with silk, because you need to be very fast while working. The techniques are not difficult and gives fantastic results. The name cold batik means that the resist does not have to be heated before applying. Drawing with the resist is one of the most responsible and often most difficult parts of silk painting. Silk painting is very similar to watercolour painting on paper – only textile dye flows more freely on silk. That’s why resist is necessary. Also, it is necessary to combine different colours in a proper way to make a good quality painting. Free batik technique we usually try after previous experience with silk because you need to be very fast while working. But the result usually looks fantastic and creative. 22.01.22  17:30-20:30 Moscow English Conversation Club: The Resistance: Avalon
This Saturday at 5.30 pm we will play "The Resistance: Avalon". Meeting place: cafe "Nikolay", 53 Pyatnitskaya str. It’s a game where players attempt to deduce one another’s identities. The setting of the game is an imagined battle between a resistance group trying to overthrow the malignant government and the government spies infiltrating the resistance group. The Resistance uses slightly different mechanics from similar games (as Mafia and Werewolf), and was designed to avoid player elimination and increase available information for player decisions. Come and join us!
