19:00 Riad Mammadov (Russia-Azerbaijan)
Pianist Riad Mammadov will perform works by Rachmaninoff and Skryabin and Tchaikovsky. Mammadov is a pianist with an excellent command of classical and jazz, virtuoso combination of different styles and genres, well known in Russia and Azerbaijan. Riad was born in a family of artists, during his higher education he completed his post-graduate course at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, specializing in piano (class of prof. Knorre) and academic post-graduate course in musicology (with prof. Kholopov), was awarded a scholarship of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev Foundation, and after graduation he became a guest artist at the Tchaikovsky Opera and Ballet Theatre (Artistic Director T. Kourentzis). He has played at the Niagara Music Festival (Canada), Diaghilevsky and Primavera Classica (both in Russia), the Musical Ark project of V. Martinov, the Summer Jazz Festival at the Bolshoi Theatre, the international U. Hajibeyli Festival, Caspian Jazz and Blues Festival, Baku Jazz Festival (all in Azerbaijan), Electro Jazz Festival at the Electroteatre named after Stanislavsky and other festivals. Stanislavsky Electric Theatre, etc. Has performed with the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra, G.Garayev GKO, "MusicAeterna" orchestra, Moscow Youth Chamber Orchestra "Veritas", Canadian chamber orchestra "Niagara Silkway", the New Munich Orchestra and the Academic Chamber Orchestra of Novosibirsk Philharmonic (under the direction of famous conductors T. Kurtenzis, R.Abs. Kurtenzis, R. Abdullaev, M. Emelyanychev, A. Skorer, T. Geokchaev and E. Kuliev). He has also played with Belgian, American and Hungarian jazz big bands.
