Question:
I will travel to Russia with my son. My documents are fine, but his travel visa is only 30 days long, whereas his stay in Russia will be 33 days. If he will leave with expired visa, how much exit permit fine I will have to pay for him, and where? Thank you.
Victor
Answer:
Dear Victor, we would advise you to try to reschedule terms of your visit to Russia so that your son's stay will not exceed 30 days. If he overstays even for a couple of hours, he won't be able to leave Russia without obtaining exit visa. As tourist visas can not be prolonged you will have to ask your consulate to arrange his leave through MFA emergency exit visa procedure. The procedure is expensive and not all consulates will agree to help you. Good luck!
