Question:
I am about to relocate to Moscow in a month and would like some advice regarding giving birth in Moscow. I have heard of a new international standard maternity hospital that opened recently. My main concern about this is whether there would be nurses with whom I could communicate especially during delivery and labour, and whether the standard of anaesthesiology in Moscow is up to standard so that epidurals and the like could be doled out without problems. Many thanks.

Answer:
Dear Madam,
Yes, you are right: now we have Pre-Natal Center here in Moscow which is organized according to international standards and which we highly reccommend. Please note that the procedures you mentioned in your letter can be done in the Center according to medical indications and without problems. If you need assistance with translation during delivery we can provide you with a female medical translator. Please be also advised that regarding pre-natal care our clinic can offer you pre-paid program for pregnacy time. If you have any more questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
Best regards,
Elena Stepanova
