Got an ache or pain? Have a question about a prescription or over-the-counter drug? Looking for some FREE medical advice?
Question:
What causes shortness of breathe and wheezing? Is there an over the counter medicine that can be used and effective?
TH
Answer:
Sorry, there is insufficient information here to identify a possible culprit. Depending on age, past history, other cardiac or respiratory pathology, sensitivity to allergens, other current medications etc. the problem could be anything from Asthma to Zinc allergy ("metal fume fever"). OTC medicines should certainly not be used for a 'trial' of effectiveness - a diagnosis is needed, please see your doctor today.
