Question:
My job involves spending long hours on the computer (about 8 hours a day practically non-stop). I do try to take breaks, but my eyes still hurt at the end of the day. What can I do to relieve this condition? Are there any herbs that I can apply to my eyes in the evening?

Answer:
Unfortunately, the answers / solutions are easy in theory but may be more difficult in practice. The obvious answer is to take frequent breaks of at least 10 minutes per hour, preferably in an environment other than where you work the rest of the day. Try and drink plenty of water (this on its own will ensure you take frequent 'comfort breaks') to stay hydrated, and go outside at least 3 times a day to escape the dry dehumidified air of indoor heated offices in winter. Eye drops may help in the short term but the previous longer-term answers are more healthy. Herbs in the evening are of little value. Hope this helps...
