Question:
dear doc can you spread gential warts to your kids if you are pregant
johnny
Answer:
Genital warts are very contagious and about two-thirds of people who have sexual contact with an infected partner will usually develop warts within three months of contact. The virus that causes them - Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) - can be spread to a baby during childbirth if the mother has the virus. These comments are made for the purpose of discussion and should NOT be used as recommendations for or against therapies or other treatments. An individual patient is always advised to consult their own physician.
