Question:
I have a STD called gential warts. My Question is is there any way to get rid of them for good. I am married and we would like to know how to get rid of them for good.. Thank you for your time

Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. Genital warts like herpes are caused by viruses. Our ability to treat viruses is limited -- as HIV has shown us. They cannot be cured in the sense that the virus (HPV or human papilloma virus) remains in the body even when the visible results of the virus infection - the warts - are treated. Therefore they may re-occur later. Treatment can be attempted with various 'paint-on' solutions but this is usually not sufficiently effective, even if only because it is difficult to keep applying the solution regularly for long enough. A faster and more efficient method is by freezing the warts (cryotherapy) which is overall the best solution. This method also stimulates the body's immune system and therefore may make recurrence less likely.
