Answer:
Answer: You seem to have a large number of concerns. Firstly, hypothyoidism results from an inactive thyroid gland. This has many causes which your doctor has no doubt already looked into. Generally speaking, it can be corrected by taking thyroxine, the hormone normally produced by the thyroid gland. While you are taking thyroxine, it is important to have regular blood tests so that the dosage can be adjusted. Once the dose is correct, you should not have any of the symptoms or signs of hypothyroidism. People who are run down often contract every cough or cold going around. The best way to prevent this is to live a healthy lifestyle. This means eating properly (a variety of foods, including fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and fish, eggs, dairy products and grains). If you are a vegetarian, you need to pay even closer attention to your diet, as iron helps healing and is difficult to obtain in purely vegetarian diets. It is also important to do regular exercise - a simple walk every day will help. Plenty of sleep is essential. Many people who get sick easily do not get enough rest, and try to overdo things, either at work or at play. A positive mental attitude is essential - doctors have found that happy people are generally healthier. AIDS causes many different symptoms and signs. Most people who suffer from recurrent illness do not have AIDS. The only way to find out if you are HIV positive is to have a blood test. Of course your doctor is the best person to sort out all these problems as he or she can treat you as an individual. You need a thorough physical examination and may need to have some tests to make sure nothing serious is going on. Hope this helps.
