Is it safe to administer anti-biotics to a 4 month baby. Is there another way besides injections. We have been told to give 3 injections per day in the rear. He has serious ear infection.
Thank you for the inquiry. It can be considered safe to administer an antibiotic to a 4 month old child when the antibiotic has been approved for use in that age group. Approval is given by the a regulatory body in each specific country. For exemple, the FDA(food and drug administration) in the USA. Many antibiotics come in a liquid form which can be given to a 4 month old. Hope this helps
