Question:
i had an std and i think i may be pregnate could that std hurt the baby in any way.i had chlamydia and gohneria. i took antibiotict to get rid of it and i just need to know if the std or the antibiotics could of given the baby brain damage or anything.

Sorry for the delay in answering your question. There has been technical problems with the site which stopped us from getting your question. Thank you for your inquiry. STDs can be harmful in pregnancy if untreated. By the history you give I would recommend that you be seen by a physician to confirm that the chlamydia and gonorrhea are cleared up. Some antibiotics are safe during pregnancy and some are not recommended. Your doctor will prescribe the proper antibiotic if it is needed.
