Question:
During football season(october)i was hit in the balls pretty hard, by a teammate. it was painful of course, but the pain and soreness still hurts to this day. i'm wandering if anything serious could have happend. could i have inflammed testicles?
AB
Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. There can be several reasons for the persisting pain. These include inflammation of the testicle itself or of the surrounding tissue. The trauma could have also caused some bleeding which is slowly going away. Some of the other causes for the pain can be more serious as they may affect your fertility in the future. I would recommend you consult a doctor to have a proper history, physical and additional tests as needed. Hope this helps.
