Dear Doctor, What is the latest version of the flu going around that causes low grade fever, which has since broken, bronchial cough, and overall lack of energy? What to do other than treat the symptoms, drink plenty of fluids (water) and lay off the alcohol?

Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. As far as is seen when patients present, the serotype responsible for this strain of flu is not is its effects significantly clinically different from the 'usual' strains. There is nothing more specific required than the precuations you note below - certainly those of us who have had it have not discovered a better way to get over it! Best regards
