Question:
I am considering testosterone supplements. What is the availability in Moscow and what are the benefits, Sex drive, weight loss etc? Also what is the down side?
tt
Answer:
Androgen replacement is only medically indicated for confirmed testosterone deficiency in males. Testosterone is available here in injectable form - an oily solution of 1% and 5% given every 2 to 4 weeks depending on the clinical situation. It improves sex drive in those who are androgen deficient and is not suitable as a method of weight loss, enhancing muscular development or increasing physical ability. There are many potential problems including water retention and swelling, inhibition of spermatogenesis, persistent or frequent erections, prostate enlargement and in rare cases - liver tumours and intra abdominal haemorrhage. It would be necessary to assessed medically at our Moscow clinic to determine if you are androgen deficient if this has not already been done. This is the only indication for prescribing this substance. Doctor , Moscow Clinic.
