Question:
I just had a tooth pulled and I would like to know a few things: (1) How do I brush my teeth if i am not allowed to rinse? (2) Can i drink juice? (3) When will it heal all the way?
DW
Answer:
After having an extraction of a tooth done it does take about 10 minutes until the blood is sealing this wound. After this you can rinse, drink juices and also brush your teeth, only please careful to not disturb this "sealing" of the wound. Not to rinse means not to rinse so hard that you would rinse out all this blood and expose the bone, which could cause problems. In general the healing in the mouth goes very fast in comparison with our skin, however until the bone had grown into the "hole" where the tooth was, it will take 3 to 6 month, depending on the size of the extracted tooth. I hope this will be useful! Best regards,
VG
