Blurring the lines between reality and allegory, Alice Rohrwacher tells the story of a contemporary saint: the young Lazzaro, who is so naive and pure of heart that he is often thought to be a mere fool. In his native village, everything belongs to the cruel “queen of cigarettes,” Marchese De Luna, and the residents are practically her slaves. The Marchese’s son Tancredi runs from home, having engineered his own kidnapping, and a strange friendship strikes up between him and Lazzaro. When he loses track of his friend in the big city, Lazzaro sets off in search of him, making a unique journey through space and time. The film won best screenplay at the Cannes Film Festival.

At the same time, the mysterious villain Walter Mercurio is preparing a massive terrorist attack in Rome. Only our heroes can stop him, but of course, nobody believes them. Therefore, they must once again join forces, make a daring and seemingly impossible escape, and become true superheroes in order to save the Eternal City. The final note in Sydney Sibilia’s comedy trilogy that has been an undoubted hit of Italian film distribution.

Susie understands that if she can’t solve the mystery in time, she might become the next victim. A remake of the cult classic horror movie from one of Europe’s most interesting directors.
