The Moscow Blues House "B.B.King" presents the IV Moscow International Blues Festival - the only twelve-hour open air blues marathon in Russia. The festival is going to be really international: USA, Russia, Bulgary, Slovenia, Serbia, Byelorussia and other countries will share beautiful blues with the Russian audience. Art-director of the project Sergey Voronov says that festival’s mission is to give high-quality music to the mature audience and to extend youth’s knowledge about the history of the musical art. "Blues, - Sergey claims, - is a founder of all modern trends of music - from jazz to r'n'b. That's why it's worth listening and learning." Headliners of the festival are Anna Popovic and Mark Ford. Among the participants are The Crossroadz, Yuri Kaverkin, Alexey Agranovsky, Blues Doctors, Green Spirit, Hot Rod Band, Blues Cousin, Stainless Blues Band, Modern Blues Band, Dr. Nick and others.

Ana Popovic
Born in Yugoslavia and graduated from the Holland Academy (Utrecht), a vocalist and guitarist Ana Popovich has many rewards and regalias. She was invited for the legendary "Blues Cruise 2006" - she is the first European artist ever called upon to play this prestigious cruise with the original band. In February Ana is nominated as "Blues Artist of the Year" by the readers of BluesWax Magazine. Other nominees are Tab Beniot and Joe Bonamassa. In July Ana receives a 6-time nomination for the 'Living blues awards 2006'. She's selected in categories as; 'Best blues DVD of 2005', 'Best Live Performer', 'Best Female Blues Artist' and 'Most Outstanding Musician (Guitar)'. In November, after a 13-week summer-tour throughout the USA, Ana signs a record deal at "Delta Groove Productions record label" and travels to Los Angeles to record her first Delta Groove release.
Mark Ford (USA) Mark Ford, a Grammy Reward winner (2005) used to be a guitarist in the bands The Black Crowes and Gov’t Mule. Mark speaks about his music: "I don't play rock. It's rock'n'roll. "Roll" for me is everything where you can hear blues - swing, gospel, other trends. It’s just the feeling of music".
Crossroadz
The band Crossroadz was formed in Moscow in 1990 by the renowned Russian Blues guitarist and vocalist Sergey Voronov. The group's name comes from the title of a recording by the great Blues legend, Robert Johnson, Together with Mikhail Savkin on guitar, Sasha Toropkin on drums, and Andrey Butuzov on bass, the group plays hard blues and rock'n'roll.
Blues Cousins
Levan Lomidze and Peter Podgorodetsky better know as Blues Cousins are very famoues blues men. At the festival Blues Sur Sein 2000 (France) Levan got the audience prize. The audience of “The Doctor Blues” radio programme chose Levan the best Russian blues musician of the year (2000). In 2005 an American label Jazz Stream released his live album Live in USA. Levan was also voted as one of the best Russian guitarists by the magazines Audio-Video, Music Box, Guitar.ru. He was rewarded by the Moscow mayor for taking part in the action “Rock against drugs”. The journalist of “Blues Review” writes about Blues Cousins: “The Blues Cousins, packing more firepower than a platoon of T-72 tanks, ripped it up as Friday's headliner. On the big stage these Moscow boys were larger than life and showed their world class skills at working the crowd. Killer show.”
Stainless Blues Band
Stainless Blues Band was founded in 1994 by Boris Bulkin. Fifteen year experience made them a bestseller on the Russian blues stage. Stainless Blues Band's sound combines the spirit of Elvis Presley and ZZTop, Rolling Stones, Beatles and Grand Funk Railroad.
Modern Blues Band
Modern Blues Band's repertoir consists of original blues standards, classical soul and rock pieces as well as author's compositions based on the best traditions of jazz and rock music. Modern Blues Band was founded in 1995 by Georgian musician Gia Dzagnidze. Modern Blues Band is participant and prizewinner of numerous, rock and pop festivals in Russia, Georgia, Denmark and other countries.
Dr.Nick Dr.Nick band was founded in 1994 by the guitarist Dmitry Kazantsev. The lineup changed through the years. At the beginning it was really international band but now Dr.Nick consists of two men: Dmitry Kazantsev and Dmitry Veteran. In 2005 the band released the album Made At Home on the Russian Blues Time label.
Blues Doctors
In 1996 Vladimir Demyanov, Mihail Vasilyev and Yevgeny Rinkevich founded the first Ural's blues band. From 1996 to July 2000 the band was called VIO. What it means even musicians don't know.
Petrovich&Hot Rod Band
Petrovich aka Mihail Sokolov has played blues more than 30 years. The band consists of 4 members: Andrey Barabshov (keys), Sergey Konkov (Guitar), Viktor Konkov (drums), Ilya Yelchanikov.
In addition - Green Spirit (Estonia), Sobo (Israel), Kiev Blues Band, Arsen Shomakhov, The Chill out Blues Band, Yuri Kaverkin, Alexey Agranovsky.
