Spasskaya Tower Festival
August 23 - September 1
Red Square Red Square

Spasskaya Tower is a music fiesta, a spectacular show, staged on the background of the monumental walls of the Kremlin, and a great ‘battlefield’ of the bands from different countries fighting for the love and admiration of the audience. The harmonious combination of military, classical, folk and popular music, military band parades and dance shows, laser and pyrotechnical effects makes the Festival one of the brightest and most memorable events of the year.

The Festival is held annually on Red Square. At Spasskaya Tower everyone can find something to their liking: some people like clear, well-adjusted movements of military men, while others enjoy live orchestral music or cultural exchange with people from other nations. Children are also welcome: for them the Festival has prepared a number of master classes and a horse show. The audiences will also enjoy a lighting show projected to the St. Basil’s Cathedral; each night the event will close with majestic fireworks.

August 23 to September 1, the public will also daily enjoy the Children Playground and the Horse show.

The Spasskaya Tower for Children is a unique project offering you and your children breathtaking and vivid emotions. Seven topic-related locations will be open onsite of the Children Playground featuring a stage, historical, artistic, music, patriotic and military pavilions, offering various master classes, quests and competitions for the whole family.

The best horse show, the visiting card of which is the joint team of the Cavalry honorary escort of the Presidential Regiment and the Kremlin School of Riding. The riders of the team perfectly master different types of traditional Cossack weapons, perform the most complicated stunts on horses, masterly demonstrating the techniques of jiggling.

Over 20 countries applied for participation in the 2019 Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival. Traditionally, each festival included a maximum of 12 countries, apart from Russia.

The Spasskaya Tower was held for the first time in the autumn of 2007. The list of genres embraces military, classical, folk and pop music, as well as the marches-past of brass bands, dance shows, performances with weapons, laser shows, and pyrotechnical displays. Since 2007, more than 150 bands from 50 countries have taken part in these music fiestas.

Thanks to such events, musicians representing armies of different countries could exchange experience and get acquainted with each other's cultural and military traditions.
