Mendeleev Lab Science Quest |

The first Mendeleev Lab Chemical Laboratory work will be held for the participants in 30 countries. NUST MISIS is going to be the largest venue for the event. Three laboratory works in Russian, English and French will be held here simultaneously. The chemist Alexei Bobrovsky with his fantastic music show will be the headliner of the entertainment program. The date for the Mendeleev Lab was not chosen by chance – October 12 is considered the birthday of the first chemical laboratory founded by Mikhail Lomonosov at the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences. On this day, a large-scale open chemical laboratory work, Mendeleev Lab, will be held at the venues in 30 countries. In Moscow, it will be held at the site of the National University of Science and Technology MISIS. The “open laboratory work” will consist of four parts, some of which will be held for the first time. In addition to the Laboratory work in Russian, the sites in English and French will operate at the same time for the first time. After the quest, everyone will have a chance to see a fantastic Science-Art show from the chemist Alexei Bobrovsky on a drum kit assembled from 50 drums and cymbals. The "open laboratory" does not only test the knowledge of participants but also informs about the latest scientific achievements in chemistry and physics, biology and neurobiology, computer science and astronomy. Some questions are relatively simple, but some can be very complex, in some cases, there is no even complete agreement among scientists.
