23:00 Red Bull Music Festival
On the last weekend of summer, from August 30th to September 1st, 2019, RED BULL MUSIC FESTIVAL returns to Moscow. Annually appearing in the largest cities of the world - from Los Angeles to Tokyo, RED BULL MUSIC FESTIVAL rejects the standard “line-up with a star headliner” scheme and focuses on complex concepts, new musical ideas and unusual formats. RED BULL MUSIC FESTIVAL unites world-class artists and talented Russian musicians in joint projects, creating cultural dialogue between countries and building foundation for the new cultural phenomena. This year the festival invades more urban space and takes place on the ground of key Moscow venues. RED BULL MUSIC FESTIVAL includes: the opening party at Strelka with the participation of “Boogie Kings” Leroy Burgess and Dām-FunK; closing party with the appearance of iconic 70s Zambian band W.I.T.C.H. accompanied by the Dutch multi-instrumentalist Jacco Gardner; 2 music journeys at the new Mutabor club with Lanark Artefax, Machine Woman, Buttechno, Poima, TMO x Piankov, C.A.R., Simple Symmetry, Powder, Odopt, Deena Abdelwahed, Abelle and Hipushit; the first underwater concert in Russia which is held in collaboration with British project “Wet Sounds” and takes place in the CHAIKA open-air swimming pool with the performances by pioneers of the new-age philosophy and ambient music – Laraaji, Ariel Kalma and RBMA alumni from different years; a 24-hour immersive concert-adventure “SBP4 24h WHAT?” at the Richter mansion by the band Samoe Bolshoe Prostoe Chislo; SELECTORS party at Strelka with Vladimir Ivkovic, KrLow and Ilya Simonov; and a musical boat cruise on the river, Coast 2 Coast, featuring Marcellus Pittman, Rick Wilhite, Gacha Bakradze, DJ Sports, DJ Central as well as friends and residents of Roots United collective.
Spasskaya Tower Festival
Spasskaya Tower is a music fiesta, a spectacular show, staged on the background of the monumental walls of the Kremlin, and a great ‘battlefield’ of the bands from different countries fighting for the love and admiration of the audience. The harmonious combination of military, classical, folk and popular music, military band parades and dance shows, laser and pyrotechnical effects makes the Festival one of the brightest and most memorable events of the year. The Festival is held annually on Red Square. At Spasskaya Tower everyone can find something to their liking: some people like clear, well-adjusted movements of military men, while others enjoy live orchestral music or cultural exchange with people from other nations. Children are also welcome: for them the Festival has prepared a number of master classes and a horse show. The audiences will also enjoy a lighting show projected to the St. Basil’s Cathedral; each night the event will close with majestic fireworks.
