Directed by Lyndsey Turner (Posh, Chimerica) and produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, the Barbican presents an exclusive twelve-week run of this compelling new production in summer 2015. As a country arms itself for war, a family tears itself apart. Forced to avenge his father’s death but paralysed by the task ahead, Hamlet rages against the impossibility of his predicament, threatening both his sanity and the security of the state. Awards and festivals: Laurence Olivier Award Nomination - Best Actor, Best Revival, Best Sound Design, Best Set Design.

In English with Russian subtitles. Chichester Festival Theatre’s production received five-star reviews for its sell-out run, and transfers to the West End for a limited season. Jonathan Munby directs this contemporary retelling of Shakespeare’s tender, violent, moving and shocking play. Considered by many to be the greatest tragedy ever written, King Lear sees two ageing fathers (one a King, one his courtier) reject the children who truly love them. Their blindness unleashes a tornado of pitiless ambition and treachery, as family and state are plunged into a violent power struggle with bitter ends.

Theatre production. UK 2018, 94 min. Directed by Michael Grandage. Starring: Alfred Molina, Alfred Enoch. In English with Russian subtitles. A play by John Logan. Based on the original Donmar Warehouse production, this new production is the first ever UK revival since Grandage directed the premiere in 2009. The production went on to win six Tony Awards including Best Play. Under the watchful gaze of his young assistant, and the threatening presence of a new generation of artists, Mark Rothko takes on his greatest challenge yet: to create a definitive work for an extraordinary setting.
