 Saint JHN is the shadowy, slow jam-oriented recording alias of Brooklyn native Carlos St. John. A rapper, singer, and songwriter, St. John kick-started his career during the mid-2010s by co-composing material for Kiesza ("Bad Thing," "The Love," "Piano"), Nico & Vinz (the single "Praying to a God"), Gorgon City ("Doubts"), and Usher ("Crash"), a sequence of advancements catalyzed by industry veteran Zach Katz, who had heard an early song St. John granted to a fellow fledgling artist. As St. John continued to rack up songwriting credits for other artists, he started issuing his own material independently in 2016. Among the tracks that caught on most were "Roses" and "Reflex." "3 Below" and "Some Nights" followed in 2017, the year he also co-wrote "Helicopters/Beware" for Jidenna and "Can't Wait" for dvsn. St. John's own "I Heard You Got Too Litt Last Night" was released in 2018. That track, along with a handful of previously released singles, landed on his debut full-length, Collection One. Quickly following with fresh material, he released "McDonalds Rich" and "White Parents Are Gonna Hate This" before year's end. Further standalone singles, "All I Want Is a Yacht" and "Trap," arrived in 2019, the latter of which featured an appearance by Lil Baby.

 Some bands play it safe when it comes to taking their next steps. But then, While She Sleeps have never been “some band”. The Sheffield quintet have made a career of confounding expectations, beit through a blend of crushing metal, guttural hardcore and arena-worthy hooks, or how they’ve carried themselves over an explosive 13-year career. 2017’s You Are We was a testament to self-belief and determination; crowdfunded and released on the band’s own Sleeps Brothers label, it earned award nominations from Metal Hammer and a Best Album win at the HMAs, as well as landing them in the top 10 UK charts. Now, they look to build on that success with the release of 4th album SO WHAT? With You Are We wrapped up, the band decamped to their self-built Sleeps Audio complex where spent 5 months recording the next chapter. Produced by Carl Bown SO WHAT? promises another defiant step forward. It’s punk, it’s heavy metal, and yet it sounds unlike anything you’ve heard from them before. It’s the sound of While She Sleeps reborn. Set for release on Sleeps Brothers in collaboration with metal mega-label Spinefarm, SO WHAT? sees While She Sleeps working with a major for the first time since 2015’s Brainwashed and the band are at pains to point out this won’t mean compromise in their vision. With a bigger platform to get their music into the world, 2019 is shaping up to be the year of While She Sleeps. For a band who’ve spent over a decade redefining modern metal it seems the best is yet to come.

 Yungblud is the hip-hop-influenced rock outfit created by musician Dominic Harrison. Born in Yorkshire, England, the singer/songwriter was raised in a musical family. His father was a vintage guitar dealer and his grandfather played with T. Rex. Influenced by Bob Dylan, the Clash, and the Beatles, he played guitar and sang from a young age. In 2017, when he was 19, he issued his debut single, "King Charles," a genre-blending protest song that fell somewhere between early Arctic Monkeys, Jamie T, and Rat Boy. He followed with the song "I Love You, Will You Marry Me," which incorporated some dub and grime elements. A major-label deal with Geffen yielded Yungblud's first collection, an eponymous 2018 EP that included his first two singles alongside three new tracks. His debut full-length, 21st Century Liability, appeared in May of that year and made a solid chart showing in Australia and Belgium. Yungblud returned in the early part of 2019 with "Loner" and "11 Minutes," the latter of which was a collaboration with Halsey and Travis Barker.
