His new home brings with it many challenges, surprises and new acquaintances who can eliminate his previous impressions about life’s pleasures. “A Million Little Pieces” is a challenge of a film—the kind of jolt that can help audiences handles their problems and bad habits, too.

In his very first battle, he loses his sight. He is left to serve as a listening sentry: he has to listen for approaching enemy aircraft through gigantic metal funnels and raise the alarm.
