A Million Little Pieces

This is a new scandalous drama from the director of “Fifty Shades of Gray,” Sam Taylor-Johnson. Her heroes yet again try with aplomb and contradictions to fight their passions and pitfalls—this time, related to drug addiction. The film is based on the autobiographical bestseller by writer James Frey.The main character, played by the director’s husband Aaron Taylor-Johnson (“Kick-Ass,” “Anna Karenina,” “Nocturnal Animals”), heads to a specialized rehab clinic. His new home brings with it many challenges, surprises and new acquaintances who can eliminate his previous impressions about life’s pleasures. “A Million Little Pieces” is a challenge of a film—the kind of jolt that can help audiences handles their problems and bad habits, too.

In Russian with English subtitles. A story about a simple Russian boy who goes to the front in the First World War with naive youthful dreams about glory and decorations. In his very first battle, he loses his sight. He is left to serve as a listening sentry: he has to listen for approaching enemy aircraft through gigantic metal funnels and raise the alarm.

The wild story of the charismatic supervillain Harley Quinn, told in her own words. The most heinous and self-absorbed criminal in Gotham, Roman Sionis puts a bounty on a young girl named Cass, turning the whole city upside down. Only Harley has the guts to stand up to him and collects an unbelievable team: Black Canary, Huntress and Rene Montoya. Each of them has their own scores to settle with Roman, but they can only defeat him together. There won’t be a dull moment til it’s over!

The Perfect Nanny (Chanson Douce)

The couple looks for a nanny and finds Louise, an irreproachable, experienced and caring candidate. She quickly wins the children’s affection and becomes an integral part of the family. But gradually, lonely Louise’s attachment to the young family grows into an unhealthy obsession, and in their cozy nest, a true catastrophe is brewing. This shocking thriller is a screen adaptation of Leila Slimani’s bestseller, winner of the Prix Goncourt.

The Truth (La vérité)

In French with Russian subtitles. The legendary Catherine Deneuve plays faded film star Fabienne, who remains a strong personality in spite of her age and makes people take her seriously. When she publishes her memoirs under the title “La vérité,” her daughter Lumir comes to Paris from New York with her family to celebrate the event and remind everyone that there’s actually not a word of truth in the book. She gets into a confrontation with her mother in order to shed light on the embellished past. Fabienne has no time for family feuds: she’s getting ready for a new role. In a strange way, however, it becomes a reflection of her actual life.
