The theatre becomes the forest – a dream world of flying fairies, contagious fogs and moonlight revels. The seating is wrapped around the action while the immersive tickets allow the story to be followed on foot. Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones), Oliver Chris (Green Wing), David Moorst (Allelujah!) and Hammed Animashaun (The Festival) lead the cast as Titania, Oberon, Puck and Bottom. The production also re-unites the team responsible for last year’s smash-hit Julius Caesar. Direction is by Nicholas Hytner, design by Bunny Christie, costume by Christina Cunningham, lighting by Bruno Poet and sound by Paul Arditti. Undine, an employee of the Berlin History Museum, can tell you a lot about the architecture of the German capital. But her personal life remains unhappy. The sadness does not last long: soon she meets a diver named Christophe who is impressed by Undine's lecture. Together, they will learn a lot about happiness and pain, intimacy and separation, as well as the mystical side of the city.
