Greener Grass
13:00. Comedy. USA 2019, 95 min. Directed by Jocelyn DeBoer and Dawn Luebbe. Starring: D'Arcy Carden, Dot-Marie Jones, Neil Casey. In English with Russian subtitles. In a day-glo-colored, bizarro version of suburbia where adults wear braces on their already-straight teeth, everyone drives golf carts, and children magically turn into golden retrievers, soccer moms and best friends Jill (Jocelyn DeBoer) and Lisa (Dawn Luebbe) are locked in a passive aggressive battle-of-the-wills that takes a turn into the sinister when Lisa begins systematically taking over every aspect of Jill's life--starting with her newborn daughter. Meanwhile, a psycho yoga teacher killer is on the loose, Jill's husband (Beck Bennett) has developed a curious taste for pool water, and Lisa is pregnant with a soccer ball. That's just the tip of the gloriously weird iceberg that is the feature debut from writers-directors Jocelyn DeBoer and Dawn Luebbe, a hilariously demented, Stepford Wives-on-acid satire destined to be an instant cult classic.
Illuzion
Joker
14:00. Crime, Drama, Thriller. Canada, USA 2019, 121 min. Directed by Todd Phillips. Starring: Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz. In English with Russian subtitles. "Joker" centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone fictional story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips' exploration of Arthur Fleck, who is indelibly portrayed by Joaquin Phoenix, is of a man struggling to find his way in Gotham's fractured society. A clown-for-hire by day, he aspires to be a stand-up comic at night...but finds the joke always seems to be on him. Caught in a cyclical existence between apathy and cruelty, Arthur makes one bad decision that brings about a chain reaction of escalating events in this gritty character study.

While she is getting ready to perform, she argues with her managers, charms musicians, and remembers her past with her friends and adoring fans, while her incredible talent, cleverness, and human warmth make people love this fragile woman who had come to know the darkest sides of fame, but nevertheless refused to break down.

The Shawshank Redemption
13:50. Drama. USA 1994, 142 min. Directed by Frank Darabont. Starring: Tim Robbins, Morgan Freeman, Bob Gunton, William Sadler, Clancy Brown, Gil Bellows. In English with Russian subtitles. A film adaptation of a Stephen King story released exactly 25 years ago tells the seemingly simply story of the unfairly sentenced Andy Dufresne, who managed not to lose his strength of will for 20 years in prison didn’t break down, kept his honor, and was ultimately able to make a bold escape that seemed impossible. But the simplicity of the form hides a deep, inspiring drama about the strength of the human spirit, friendship, unbreakable hope, and true freedom. This film, topping the IMDB and Kinopoisk best-of-all-time lists, is returning to the big screen.
