21:00 My Generation
Documentary. UK 2017, 85 min. Directed by David Batty. In English with Russian subtitles. London in the 1960s was an orgy of disobedience: a sleepless city painted in all kinds of unheard-of colors. The musical and fashion capital where the Beatles and the Rolling Stones were like gods, and Twiggy and Marianne Faithful were the goddesses. Rock ’n roll and free love shook the class system to its core, and for the first time in history, an actor like Michael Caine – with a working-class background and a characteristic accent – could finally appear onscreen. The actor could proudly speak in his native Cockney at last, and become a superstar. This voice, famous from “The Ipcress File” and “Alfie,” returns in the voiceovers of “My Generation”: a very personal film, featuring people like Paul McCartney, David Bailey, Mary Quant, and Roger Daltrey. It features unique interviews with the heroes of the British Invasion and the best music in London as seen through the eyes of Michael Caine – a man who lived through the 60s. Michael Caine is one of the most famous, recognizable, and in-demand British actors, who earned two Oscars, three Golden Lions, and countless other awards over his long career – as well as a knighthood bestowed by Queen Elizabeth II.

Piercing
21:15, 01:10. Thriller. USA 2018, 81 min. Directed by Nicolas Peske. Starring: Christopher Abbott, Mia Wasikowska, Laia Costa. In English with Russian subtitles. Reed, by all accounts a good man, kisses his wife and baby goodbye and seemingly heads away on business. But instead of suits, his suitcase holds a toolkit of an early-career serial killer — rope, a screwdriver, belts and cling wrap. Reed planned everything carefully: he’ll check into a hotel on the outskirts, kill a prostitute, and after getting rid of the gruesome evidence, he’ll continue his peaceful family life. But his call girl, Jackie, turns out not to be an easy victim. In this one feverish night, the balance of power changes more than once, and audiences become unwitting participants in a bloody game of cat and mouse, balanced on a razor’s edge between psychological thriller and dark comedy. A bold adaptation of a novel by sensational Japanese writer Ryu Murakami.

Funny, heartwarming, and visually stunning, it's a universal story about the spirit of Christmas and the indomitable power of optimism. Academy Award® nominee Benedict Cumberbatch lends his voice to the infamous Grinch, who lives a solitary life inside a cave on Mt. Crumpet with only his loyal dog, Max, for company. Each year at Christmas they disrupt his tranquil solitude with their increasingly bigger, brighter, and louder celebrations. When the Whos declare they are going to make Christmas three times bigger this year, the Grinch ...
