In the early 1960s, he goes to Paris on tour and becomes the first performer to never come back, refusing to return to the USSR. The film is dedicated to Nureyev’s childhood and youth in Leningrad and his life in Paris, where the dancer found new friends and fans but lost all connection with the things he held dear at home.
