A brutal fight for survival begins on board the ship, where people turn into real monsters. A new film by the Korean director provocateur: a metaphorical fable about human nature, on which Ki-duk Kim yet again passes uncompromising judgement.

"Spirited Away" was an unprecedented hit, earning more than $270 million worldwide (14 times more than the film's budget). This film about 10-year-old Chihiro's adventures won an "Oscar," a Golden Bear (the grand prix of the Berlin Film Festival), four Annies, and 50 other awards from around the world. For many years now, "Spirited Away" is first on the list of best animated films according to IMDb.
