Blade Runner
23:45. Science fiction, thriller, detective, drama. USA 1982, 117 min. Directed by Ridley Scott. Starring: Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young, Daryl Hannah. In English with Russian subtitles. One of the most important films in the history of science fiction and a real masterpiece by Ridley Scott. A film based on Philip K. Dick's novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" tells the story of a futuristic Los Angeles in which the main character must find escaped androids, rebelling against their position in the new world order as slaves. They do not want to die and refuse to give up, and the hero will have to face them—to discover a great deal about himself, too.

13:50. Drama. USA, UK, Canada 2019, 116 min. Directed by Viggo Mortensen. Starring: Viggo Mortensen, Lance Henriksen, Sverrir Gudnason, Laura Linney, David Cronenberg. In English with Russian subtitles. A tough and somewhat uncompromising family drama that tells the story of a gay man living with his partner and an aging, dementia-stricken homophobic father. The relationship between father and son, already strained, is heated to the limit. This is the directorial debut of famous Danish actor Viggo Mortensen. However, in this film, Viggo also plays the main role and is the author of the script to boot, while the great David Cronenberg also appears in a small role in the film.

Peter Mattei in the title role of the barber in Bartlett Sher's popular production, which propels the comic action right into the audience in Metropolitan Opera. Joyce DiDonato sings Rosina, and Juan Diego Florez performs the role of a Count. Watch online here.

As age begins to overtake him, he decides to divide his kingdom amongst his children, living out his days without the burden of power. Misjudging his children’s loyalty and finding himself alone in the wilderness, he is left to confront the mistakes of a life that has brought him to this point. Antony Sher returns to the RSC to play King Lear, one of the greatest parts written by Shakespeare in this, one of Shakespeare’s most epic and powerful plays. Watch online here.
