"Berlin Bouncer" tells the story of three of the clubbing mecca's most famous doormen. Sven Marquardt and Smiley Baldwin, best known for their work at Berghain, and Frank Künster, who worked Delicious Donuts in the '90s and King Size in the 2010s, are the documentary's subjects. Beginning in the late '80s and running to the present day, the film follows each bouncer's transition into nightlife. Baldwin was formerly an American GI guarding the border, Marquardt was a punk and budding photographer in the East, while Künster moved to the capital from the West.
