 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera in two acts, 195 min. Sung in German. Libretto by Emanuel Schikaneder based on Christoph Martin Wieland’s fairy tale Lulu oder die Zauberfl?te. Stage Director: Boris Pokrovsky. Music Director: Vladimir Agronsky. Designer: Viktor Volsky. Costume Designer: Rafael Volsky. Choreographer: Lilia Talankina. Premiered on September 24, 2004. "The Magic Flute" was the last opera Mozart composed: it was premiered on September 30, 1791 - roughly three months before he died. The opera became the most famous and performed in the world. Why do we love “The Magic Flute” so much? Probably because this opera is about the most valuable thing in life – about love? A romantic fairy tale, filled with a deep philosophical sense, has an irresistible magic for the opera stage directors, because, created by Mozart without regard to age restrictions - hardly he thought, 16+ or 6+ will be put on the poster - is clear and sweet for both the child and the adult.

 Russian epic opera in seven scenes. Libretto by Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov and Vladimir Belsky. Stage Director: Dmitry Bertman. Musical Director: Vladimir Ponkin. The opera “Sadko” by Rimsky-Korsakov is not an epos. It is a reflection of our life in the eyes of eternal history. “Sadko” initiated new era in “Helikon” as it was the first play staged in Stravinsky Hall after the theatre came back to its original home place on Bolshaya Nikitskaya in Moscow. “Sadko” also opened a new arch of time: first time the play was presented to the audience by Moscow S. Mamontov’s opera’s actors more than a century ago. Actors of the past could only dream of boundless possibilities that their contemporary colleagues have! Underwater world, overseas countries, Ilmen lake coast, the ancient city of Novgorod… These places magically appear on the “Stravinsky” stage.
