The Sound Up contemporary music festival presents a new project dedicated to Valentine's Day. On Tuesday, February 14, in the Trekhgornaya manufactory will be held the only show Sound Up love - multi-genre performance based on love letters of writers, composers and poets. The language of love changes from epoch to epoch, but the very feelings and emotions described in a medieval ballad or a short message in a messenger remain timeless. SOUND UP love is a documentary performance about the wonders, paradoxes and dramas of romantic love, created by playwright Mikhail Degtyarev based on the correspondence of iconic characters of 20th century art. The letters will be read by actress and Golden Mask laureate Maria Smolnikova together with actor and film director Evgeny Sangadzhiev, who was also entrusted with the production of the performance. Stories of lovers and fragments of their correspondence will be heard together with the monumental opus "love failure" by the patriarch of modern American music, David Lang. The vocal score, inspired by the myth of Tristan and Isolde, will be performed in Russia for the first time by the INTRADA vocal reference ensemble under the direction of conductor Ekaterina Antonenko.
