In his 2007 Farewell Tour, American Ballet Theatre’s Argentine superstar Julio Bocca, together with members of his Ballet Argentino, will perform their tantalizing “tango with a twist” showcase. From balancing solo atop a ladder to dancing steamy duets, Bocca will display his amazing athleticism and bravura style. “An original tour de force” (Back Stage), Bocca Tango blends the sensuality of tango with the technique of ballet and the drama of modern dance—all set to music by Astor Piazzolla and Carlos Gardel and performed by the on-stage orchestra Octango and two sensational vocalists. Bocca Tango serves up an extraordinarily erotic escape from the ordinary.
