The State Academic dance ensemble "Alania" was founded in 1938. The generations of dancers have countinued and developed the best traditions of the Ossetian choreography for 65 years. In 45 countries of the world wonderful dance performance of the ensemble was met with applause in Germany, Great Britain, Belgium, France, Danmark, Holland, China and athers. The ensemble "Alania" is holder of the Order of Russia's Friendship, the holder of the Golden medal of the International Festival of Five continents held in Dijon (France), the winner of Russian and International contests, K. Khetagurov Prize laureate, "Golden Appolo" Prize laureate. "Alania" is one of the most highly professional companies. It represents the national culture of Ossetia all over the world. There are Honoured artist of Russia, 3 People's artist of Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, 13 Honoured artists of Republic of North Ossetia-Alania and Honoured culture worker of Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. "The dance ensemble of the North Ossetia "Alan" demonstrated splendid combination of the traditional Caucasian dance and elements of classic ballet," - as wrote "As-Saura", newspaper. The concert will be dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the ensemble.
