Music Director: Anton Grishanin. Stage Director: Sergey Zhenovach. Designer: Alexander Borovsky. Iolanta and Nutcracker were commissioned from Tchaikovsky by the Mariinsky Theatre management. It is thought that the idea of uniting the one act opera and two act ballet into a single production to be shown on the same evening originated with the then director of the Imperial Theatres Ivan Vsevolozhsky. In July 1891 Tchaikovsky began composing the music for Iolanta, starting off with the Iolanta and Vaudemont duet. He was full of enthusiasm. The composer wrote to his brother Modest: "I'm in love more than ever with the subject of Iolanta, and your libretto is quite perfect… Oh yes, I will write an opera such that the audiences will weep".

Biography/Drama. Chilie, France, USA 2016, 100 min. Directed by Pablo Larraín. Starring: Natalie Portamn, Peter Sarsgaard, Greta Gerwig, John Hut. In English with Russian subtitles. “Jackie” is a contemporary drama about First Lady of the United States Jacqueline Kennedy (Natalie Portman), who turns around in the days following the shocking assassination of her husband – President John F. Kennedy, who was shot during his visit to Dallas and died right in the arms of his wife. The time after his death, when she never quite came completely to her senses and didn’t let her loved ones out of her sight, creates the suspense in “Jackie” – just like in one of Pablo Larraín’s previous films, “Post Mortem.” Right after the tragedy, Jackie begins to lose influence in the White House, where Kennedy’s political opponents have already begun knocking at the door. But it is she who is forced to fight for how the world would remember her husband, and defends his name from political intrigue and speculation The film recreates in detail the rituals and daily life of the White House – that luxurious “house of cards,” where Jackie becomes a captive. The film served as Chilean Pablo Larraín’s Hollywood debut, who has long since been a star on the festival circuit, and the role of Jackie has already been called an acting feat for Natalie Portman – whose work on the film has made her an Oscar favorite. The film’s world premiere took place at the last Venice Film Festival, where it received a prize for best screenplay.

He dedicates his poetry to Laura, and she tries to convince him to publish them, or at least make a few copies of the pages of his notebooks. In “Paterson,” Jim Jarmusch sings the praises of everyday life and the happiness of simple things. After all, in the words of William Carlos Williams, author of the famous poem “Paterson,” “No ideas but in things.” The film was nominated for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival.

Rocco Siffredi (a pseudonym inspired by Alain Delon in “Borsalino”) means as much to the porn industry as Mike Tyson does to boxing, and Mick Jagger to rock’n’roll. As an actor, producer, and director, he became one of the most influential and recognizable figures in pornography over 30 years of work, enjoying popularity both within the industry and in mainstream media. This documentary film describes the events in the last months of Rocco’s life as an actor, and the camera accompanies him all over the world: from Hungary, where he lives with his wife and two children and owns his own studio, to California, where the majoirty of the filming takes place. Thierry Demaizière and Alban Teurlai’s film does more than just open up the backstage world of the porn business - it is a kind of confession of the man who both lives in the image Rocco Siffredi, and yet mostly outside of him. The film was presented at the 2016 Venice Film Festival.
