1998 was the year of birth to the pure female band named Cellolitas. At first there were six women, meeting regularly to play music together. Each of them took part in Berlin-music scene-bands such as Hawi Madels, Testbildtesters, Bud’s Balooxe, Time Tough and Fuck You Crew.
That’s how they met and realized that they had a dream in common – that was to launch a band project with the emphasis on fun and entertainment while playing light life music. Soon after, another three ladies joined the gang and since the year 2000 they play in that formation.
The band as such and their music occupies an important part in their life. (Be it as family, therapy or just drunken Friday party nights). But Cellolitas is still treated as a hobby.
Nevertheless, within seven years, the band performed on stage more then a hundred gigs. The Cellolital love to perform and play – be it on a big occasion with an audience of more then 5000 or just little birthday does or the rare white weddings.
The most important thing for the Cellolitas is still the fun factor while playing and that shows in their Show’s. Big entertainment with space for dance and smiles from happy people to happy people.
