In the Palace of Sports "Luzniki" a grandiose show of kings of metal - long-awaited concert of MANOWAR called «the loudest rock group in the world» on April, 7th, 2007 takes place .
The concert will pass within the framework of the European tour in support of a new album «Gods of War».
Each performance of MANOWAR is a magnificent show where the magic world occupied by soldiers of forgotten epoch and furious gods is born on eyes of spectators. The world where ?h?r and Odin battle to sworn enemies and forces of evil, where immortal soldiers from the Ancient Greece meet ruthless crusaders. The world where concepts pride, honour and force have not lost the true value. Already more than 25 years the group fearlessly struggles for «cleanliness of the metal».
Mad popularity came to MANOWAR after release of their first album in 1980. At that time the group went on tour together with Ted Nugent, for warning-up public. However after only four concerts the known singer was compelled to refuse services of MANOWAR, because his public did not want to listen to the headliner and demanded continuation of performance of the new group MANOWAR that had struck them.
The first contract with a sound recording company was signed by MANOWAR with their own blood. Thus MANOWAR confirmed absolute fidelity to the chosen way. And for more than twenty years' history MANOWAR have never changed to itself and the numerous admirers.
The group had to change some of the sound recording companies, but it has never conceded to requirements of label to change something in sound or style. Despite of going years – they have been playing, in the chosen key as considered it was necessary - and the army of their admirers was only growing.
«We have the most devoted fans in the world» - Scott Columbus, the drummer tells, - «they were with us for a long time. Together with them we defend "metal" belief. MANOWAR exists only owing to the fans.
MANOWAR is brought in the Guinness’s book of records, as «the loudest concert group of the world». On March, 8th, 1994 during the concert in Hanover devices had registered the capacity of sound equal 129.5 to decibels (during bass solo Joye de Maio this figure has increased up to 131.7 dB!) that is more loudly, than the flying up Boeing!
In 1984 the British weekly journal Melody Maker written: «If someone decides to make a dictionary of modern musical terms and expressions we advise the author to define words “Heavy Metal” simply and shortly - MANOWAR».
