The American Chamber of Commerce in Russia invites you to participate in a high-level speaker event on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. (MSK) at the Moscow office of Melling, Voitishkin & Partners (Lesnaya St. 9, 10th floor). Members may participate in person at the Melling, Voitishkin & Partners office or online. AmCham Russia is holding this event in conjunction with the Canada Eurasia Chamber of Commerce (CECC). Geopolitical Situation & the Impact on Business in Russia. Speaker: Dmitri Trenin. Dmitri Trenin is the Academic Supervisor of the institute of World Military Economy and Strategy at the Higher School of Economics (HSE University). He is also a Leading Research Fellow of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO) of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Before joining HSE University and IMEMO in 2022, Trenin was Director of the Carnegie Moscow Center (2008-22). Dmitri Trenin is the author of a dozen books on great power relations and security in Eurasia which were published in Russia, China, Great Britain, the United States, Germany, Japan and other countries. A graduate of the Military Institute in Moscow, Trenin served in the Soviet and Russian Armed Forces (1972-93). His missions during that period included Iraq, East Germany and West Berlin, Switzerland, and Italy. Trenin was born in Moscow in 1955, where he now lives. He and his wife have two children and four grandchildren. In order to participate, it is essential to register here.

The AEB Customs and Transport Committee is pleased to invite you to its XVIII annual customs conference titled “Prospects for the Development of Customs Legislation and Practice. Dialogues on Important Issues”. The event will take place in an offline format in the AEB Conference Center address 68/70 Butyrsky val, bldg.1, office 13, Moscow on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 10:00 to 17:30 (registration at 09:30). For the past years, the AEB Annual Customs Conference has been organized by the AEB Customs and Transport Committee together high-level representatives of the federal authorities and became one of the best platforms for dialogue between the Federal Government and European businesses, where experts can share their practical experience in customs regulation development and work common approach and solutions for customs rules out. Like in previous years, the conference will be dedicated to recent developments in the national and EAEU customs legislation and analysis of current law enforcement practices. Well-known and recognized AEB experts will share their knowledge and experience, offering a starting point for discussion searching for rational and efficient solutions to existing challenges such as: Issues of inclusion of dividends in the customs value; Actual issues of customs control after the release of goods. The leadership and high-level representatives of the Federal Customs Service, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Eurasian Economic Council, Public Council under the Federal Customs Service, Russian Export Center and International Coordinating Council on Trans-Eurasian Transportation are invited as speakers and our distinguished guests.
