19:30 Theater HD Live in Cinema: Henry V
Theater production. UK 2015, 183 min. In English with Russian subtitles. Henry IV is dead and Hal is King. With England in a state of unrest, he must leave his rebellious youth behind, striving to gain the respect of his nobility and people. Laying claim to parts of France and following an insult from the French Dauphin, Henry gathers his troops and prepares for a war that he hopes will unite his country. RSC Artistic Director Gregory Doran continues his exploration of Shakespeare's History Plays with Henry V performed in the 600th anniversary year of the Battle of Agincourt. Following his performance as Hal in Henry IV Parts I & II Alex Hassell returns as Henry V. Henry V will be broadcast Live from Stratford-upon-Avon on Wednesday 21 October, the same week as the anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt.

Acclaimed playwright Tom Stoppard (Shakespeare in Love, Arcadia, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead) returns to the National Theatre with his highly-anticipated new play The Hard Problem, directed by Nicholas Hytner (Othello, Hamlet, One Man, Two Guvnors). Hilary, a young psychology researcher at a brainscience institute, is nursing a private sorrow and a troubling question at work, where psychology and biology meet. If there is nothing but matter, what is consciousness? This is "the hard problem" which puts Hilary at odds with her colleagues who include her first mentor Spike, her boss Leo and the billionaire founder of the institute, Jerry. Is the day coming when the computer and the fMRI scanner will answer all the questions psychology can ask? Meanwhile Hilary needs a miracle, and she is prepared to pray for one.

Claudio's friend Benedick loves Beatrice and Beatrice Benedick, but (because neither will admit it) nothing seems capable of bringing them together. Only the intrigues of a resentful prince force Benedick to prove his love for Beatrice - by killing his best friend.

On a bitterly cold London evening, schoolteacher Kyra Hollis (Carey Mulligan) receives an unexpected visit from her former lover, Tom Sergeant (Bill Nighy), a successful and charismatic restaurateur whose wife has recently died. As the evening progresses, the two attempt to rekindle their once passionate relationship only to find themselves locked in a dangerous battle of opposing ideologies and mutual desires. Bill Nighy, whose extensive film credits include Love Actually, Notes on a Scandal and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and whose stage roles include Pravda and the world premiere of David Hare's The Vertical Hour on Broadway, plays alongside Carey Mulligan (Inside Llewyn Davis, The Great Gatsby, An Education) who is making her West End stage debut, and Matthew Beard (An Education, One Day, The Look of Love). Skylight is directed by Academy Award-nominated director Stephen Daldry, who recently directed the sell-out West End production of The Audience with Helen Mirren. David Hare is the author of 29 plays for stage, including Plenty, Racing Demon, Amy’s View, Pravda and Stuff Happens. His many screenplays include The Hours and The Reader. Skylight was originally produced at the National Theatre in 1995, before transferring to the West End and Broadway, and won an Olivier Award for Best Play.
