 The Contemporary Dance Festival Tsekh will take place on December 6-14, 2014. As always Tsekh will acquaint the audience with names and greatest achievements of European contemporary dance. The programme of this year's event will include a selection of the most interesting contemporary performances from Switzerland and Russia. Incidentally Tsekh-2014 was organized by the International Centre of Dance and Performance Tsekh and Meyerhold Center as the part of the cultural exchange program between Russia and Switzerland which was initiated by the Swiss Arts Council "Pro Helvetia". The Russian choreographer, performer and video artist Olga Tsvetkova, dramatist Mikhail Durnenkov, composer Vladimir Gorlinskiy and four performers are rehearsing a dance show "Moments" for the festival. Since 2002 SNDO-graduate Olga Tsvetkova is working in the Moscow-based contemporary dance company Kinetic, an independent artistic association based on doubts, assumptions and convictions. Artistic credo of the group is based on few movements: movement of human body, movement of objects, movement of space, movement of thoughts inside the brain inside the human bodies, which move surrounded by objects in space, which has been set in motion once. As a performer Olga has participated in performances by Olga Pona (Russia), Anouk van Dijk (Holland), Deborah Hay, Benoit Lachambre and in such festivals as Springdance Festival (Holland), OFF Europa (Germany), Golden Mask (Russia), New Baltic Dance (Lithuania), TSEKH (Russia), International Festival of Arts and Ideas (USA), Potsdamer 15.Tanztage (Germany), Bolzano Danza (Italy), ADF (USA), Bienalle De Lyon (France), Homo Novus (Latvia), Drama Festival (Estonia) and many others. As choreographer she has produced "Orchestra Rehearsal" for Taganka theatre (2014, Russia), "Repose" for Frascati 2 (2013, Amsterdam), "End of Forest" for Het Veem theatre (2012, Amsterdam), "30 minutes" for and with Provincial Dances Theater (2012, Russia), "None of Your Business" with support of Dance Agency Tsekh (2007), among others. She has studied at the workshop of João Fiadeiro, Jeremy Nelson, Sasha Pepelyaev, Sybrig Dokter, Jennifer Nugent, Rachid Ouramdane, Istok Kovach, Gill Clark, Wally Gordona, Fiona Millward, etc. More info
