 Green Theatre at VDNH will host a unique programme called “Opera. Jazz. Blues” featuring opera singer Khibla Gerzmava and the Daniel Kramer Trio, jazz pianists. They will perform pieces by Handel, Mozart, Puccini, Verdi, as well as Donizetti and Gershwin. Khibla’s golden voice has already enchanted thousands of listeners, and will soon ring out in fresh colours in the programme “Opera. Jazz. Blues”. After achieving enormous success on the opera stage, she decided not to stop there or ever restrict herself within the boundaries of any single genre. Khibla has a lot of layers to her personality, loves to experiment and is not afraid of risks. The concert programme with the Daniel Kramer Jazz Trio “Opera. Jazz. Blues” is a shining example of a symbiosis of jazz and classical music. Daniel Kramer is one of the most widely recognised Russian jazz performers, People’s Artist of Russia, the winner of the Gustav Mahler European Prize, and an honorary member of the Sydney Jazz Club. Since 1982 when he received the first prize at a jazz improvisation contest in Vilnius, his name has appeared on some of the most impressive bills in the professional jazz community.
