The concert of the Borodin Quartet is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Alexander Fedotovich's birth and to the 70th anniversary of the Quartet which today includes Ruben Agaronayan, Sergey Lomovsky, Igor Naidin, Vladimir Balshin. The clarinetist Igor Fedorov will take part in concert as well. The program includes Brahms' Quartet # 2 in A Minor, Op. 51and Quintet for clarinet, two violins, viola and cello in B minor, Op. 115. The Borodin Quartet commands a special position of respect in the chamber music world. In existence for 70 years, it has preserved a unique performance tradition, focusing on the masterpieces at the very heart of the quartet repertoire. Its interpretations are celebrated for their intensity and focus, a style in which individualism dedicates itself to the collaborative spirit of chamber music and total service of the composer's wishes.
