19:00 Dorothea Roeschmann (Germany)
Dorothea Roeschmann (soprano, Germany), one of the most admired singers of her generation, will perform Handel, C.P.E. Bach, Haydn, Mozart and opera areas with Musica Viva Moscow Chamber Orchestra. Kirill Karabits (Ukraine) conducts. Born in Flensburg, Germany, Dorothea Roeschmann made a critically acclaimed debut at the 1995 Salzburg Festival as Susanna with Harnoncourt and has since returned to the Festival many times to sing Donna Elvira, Countess Almaviva, Ilia, Servilia, Nannetta, Pamina and Vitellia, with conductors such as Abbado, Harding, Mackerras and von Dohnanyi. In the 2012/13 season she sang the Marschallin at the Deutsche Staatsoper, Berlin with Rattle, Donna Elvira at the Bolshoi with Barenboim and Countess Almaviva in Los Angeles with Dudamel. Her future plans include returns to the Bayerische Staatsoper Munich, to Covent Garden and to the Wiener Staatsoper. At the Metropolitan Opera she has sung Susanna, Pamina, Elvira and Ilia with Levine and, at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden her roles have included Pamina and Fiordiligi with Sir Colin Davis and Countess Almaviva with Pappano. At La Scala she has sung Countess Almaviva as well as Donna Elvira on tour with the company to Moscow. At the Wiener Staatsoper she has appeared as Countess Almaviva and Susanna and, at the Bayerische Staatsoper, Munich, her roles have included Zerlina, Susanna, Annchen, Marzelline, Anne Trulove and Rodelinda. She is also closely associated with the Deutsche Staatsoper, Berlin, where she has sung Annchen with Mehta; Nannetta with Abbado and Eva, Elsa, Pamina, Fiordiligi, Susanna, Zerlina, Micaela, Donna Elvira and Countess Almaviva with Barenboim. She has also appeared at La Monnaie, Brussels as Norina and at the Bastille, Paris as both Pamina and Countess Almaviva. Roeschmann's many recital appearances include New York's Carnegie Hall, London's Wigmore Hall, Amsterdam's Het Concertgebouw, Vienna's Konzerthaus and venues in Antwerp, Lisbon, Madrid, Cologne, Brussels, Oslo and at the Edinburgh, Munich, and Schwarzenberg Festivals. In 2013 she sang with Daniel Barenboim at the Schiller Theater in Berlin and with Mitsuko Uchida at the Lucerne Festival.

19:30 Taras Baginets: to the Pope John Paul II
The winner of the Vth International Organ Competition in Denmark Taras Baginets was born in 1975. In 1997 he graduated Kharkiv Conservatory and then he studied organ at master-classes of professors Walter (Germany), Radulesku (Austria), Fagius (Sweden). Since 1995 Taras Baginets presents organ recitals in Ukraine, Russia, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, France, Italy, Chech Republic etc. Taras Baginets was a participate of numerous festivals in Ukraine and Europa, regularly perform with prominent musicians and ensembles. His repertoire includes Bach, de Grigny, Messiaen and other romanticists and he will play their music at the concert dedicated to the Pope John Paul II who was one of the most influential leaders of the 20th century and one of the most travelled world leaders in history, visiting 129 countries during his pontificate.
