 State Academic Symphony Orchestra "Evgeny Svetlanov", Conductor Vladimir Verbitsky and Boris Berezovsky (piano) will perform Glinka, Chernomor's March and Oriental Dances from the opera "Ruslan and Lyudmila"; Borodin, "In the Steppes of Central Asia"; Ippolitov-Ivanov, "Caucasian Sketches", suite No. 1 for orchestra; A. Khachaturyan, Concerto for Piano and Orchestra; Balakirev – Lyapunov, "Islamey" – Oriental fantasy. Berezovsky is one of those few pianists who is able to make the most technically challenging music sound like a walk in the park. Boris Berezovsky has established a remarkable reputation, both as the most powerful of virtuoso pianists and as a musician of unique insight and sensitivity. Born in Moscow in 1969, Boris Berezovsky studied at the Moscow Conservatoire with Eliso Virsaladze and privately with Alexander Satz. Following his London début at the Wigmore Hall in 1988, The Times described him as "an artist of exceptional promise, a player of dazzling virtuosity and formidable power"; two years later that promise was fulfilled when he won the Gold Medal at the 1990 International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. Boris Berezovsky works regularly as concerto soloist with orchestras including the Concertgebouw, Philharmonia Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Residentie Orkest, Danish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, NDR Hamburg, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Komische Oper, Hessischer Rundfunk, Russian National Orchestra, New Japan Philharmonic, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Symphony Orchestra and with conductors such as Kurt Masur, Charles Dutoit, Wolfgang Sawallisch, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Alezander Lazarev, Andrew Litton, Mikhail Pletnev, Antonio Pappano etc.

 Ancient Music Ensemble Uzorika will perform Christmas carols in Russia and Europe, liturgical music, spiritual poems, chants. If we venture to compare ancient music to that of the New Time, it feels like comparing the huge submerged part of an iceberg to its top. This is an attempt to present Western Europe's and Russia's ancient vocal music in all its diversity. The collection ranges from the polyphony of the Renaissance, a concentrated and sublime music, to the secular one that delivers through centuries the scintillating wit of the medieval court life, to the exquisite professional singing of Old Rus' with its sound so freshly unusual even for a sophisticated listener. The performance also includes songs, which represent partes vocal concertos filled with a sincere affection and a naive faith, and lyrical canticles, simple-hearted and sentimental. Old spiritual songs and the ever-young folk tunes touching the right chords contribute to the impressive variety put together.

 Daniil Kramer (piano), Sergey Vasiliev (double-bass), Pavel Timofeev (percussion) together with Chamber Orchestra «Hermitage» and Alexander Ghindin, artistic director will perform W.A. Mozart. Piano concerto #22 in E flat Major, KV482, A. Tsfasman. Suite for piano and orchestra; and Jazz improvisations. Daniel Kramer is one of the most widely recognised Russian jazz performers, People’s Artist of Russia, the winner of the Gustav Mahler European Prize, and an honorary member of the Sydney Jazz Club. Since 1982 when he received the first prize at a jazz improvisation contest in Vilnius, his name has appeared on some of the most impressive bills in the professional jazz community.
