20:00 Manu Delago (UK)
As a two-year-old Manu Delago began what would become a very musically inclined life as he sat behind his first drumkit. Four years later, he took accordion lessons and at the age of ten, he started playing the piano. As a teenager Manu Delago mainly played football and drummed for his rockband HotchPotch which won the Austrian Band Contest in 2003. After graduating in classical percussion in his hometown Innsbruck, he moved to London where he studied jazz drums and composition. When Manu Delago discovered the Hang - an enchanting sound sculpture Manufactured by PanArt in Switzerland - he simultaneously discovered his passion for writing music. His Hang solo piece Mono Desire has become the most popular Hang video in the internet and was in the Top30 music videos on Youtube. With his ensembles Manu Delago Handmade and Living Room he has released several albums and performed in prestigious venues all over the world. The Austrian musician also frequently collaborates with highclass artists such as Björk, Anoushka Shankar, The Cinematic Orchestra, Joss Stone, Andreya Triana, Shpongle, Bugge Wesseltoft, Aurora Orchestra and the London Symphony Orchestra. In 2017 Manu Delado relesed new album "Metromonk". He said: "My new album is kind of divided into two halves, up and down or mountain and city, or maybe Metro and Monk. It features some of my favourite vocalists and the legendary trumpeter Erik Truffaz. I think after playing the Hang for more than 10 years I've also found a new voice and sound for this instrument, mainly through live audio manipulation. I hope you like the new music (and that I can play it for you live on the upcoming world tour)". Tickets
