In "A Bigger Splash", the lives of a high profile couple, a famous rock star and a filmmaker, vacationing and recovering on the idyllic sun-drenched and remote Italian island of Pantelleria are disrupted by the unexpected visit of an old friend and his daughter - creating a whirlwind of jealousy, passion and, ultimately, danger for everyone involved. A Man Called Ove

In Swedish with Russian subtitles. 59 year old Ove is the block's grumpy man who several years earlier was deposed as president of the condominium association, but he could not give a damn about being deposed and therefore keeps looking over the neighborhood with an iron fist. When pregnant Parvaneh and her family moves into the terraced house opposite and accidentally backs into Ove's mailbox it turns out to be an unexpected friendship. At the beginning, she is afraid of the gigantic monster who dragged her into its cave. But soon Sophie realizes that the Giant is actually a very polite and charming creature. This big friendly giant (as he calls himself) takes Sophie away to Dream Country, where he catches dreams and gives them to children that can’t fall asleep. The giant teaches Sophie the basics of magic and tells her all about the magical properties of dreams. Unfortunately, Sophie’s presence in the Land of Giants has attracted the unwanted attention of the local population – some angry Giants who could not help but notice that an outsider has snuck into their country against their wishes... A new adventure film by Steven Spielberg, who has rebounded from his retro-thriller “Bridge of Spies” to make another fairy tale for the whole family, in the spirit of his unforgettable “E.T.” A screen adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl (“Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”) novel.

Independence Day: Resurgence

In English with Russian subtitles. The events occur 20 years after the first film. On Earth, still not fully recovered from the attack of 1996, a new generation has come of age and grown accustomed to alien technology. The only problem? The aliens left a hidden beacon which could attract a new wave of attackers, which mankind only discovered after it had sent that fateful signal. Now the Earth faces a new threat of unprecedented scale. The sequel to the legendary blockbuster of the 90s, also shot by the timeless Roland Emmerich, released to coincide with the story’s 20-year anniversary. This time, in place of Will Smith, new stars Mike Monroe and Liam Hemsworth take the lead roles, along with Charlotte Gainsbourg and, naturally, Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman.

Starring: Paul Dano, Daniel Radcliffe, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Timothy Eulich, Richard Gross, Marika Casteel. In English with Russian subtitles. Having gotten stuck on a desert island, Hank was prepared to give up all hope, but everything changed when he finds a corpse on the shore named Manny. As time goes on, he begins to speak and help Hank survive in the wild and find joy in life. Together, they set off on an epic journey to return Hank to the girl of his dreams. An absurdist hit! A tragicomedy by young American newcomers which instantly gave birth to a whole internet cult following after its premiere – owing, no doubt, to the comedic duo of the year: Paul Dano as Robinson and Daniel Radcliffe as the living corpse. The film won Best Director at Sundance.
