19:10 Bagnoli Jungle
Drama. Italy 2015,100 min. Directed by Antonio Capuano. Starring: Luigi Attrice, Antonio Casagrande, Marco Grieco. In Italian with Russian subtitles. Bagnoli. Among the ruins of Ilva, the great factory of progress in the past and today a desolate indictment, Giggino, Antonio and Marco move, live and survive. Three generations that, throughout the three chapters, only occasionally cross paths. Three characters that one at a time encounter street musicians and house painters, nuns and gangsters, half naked or desperate housewives, fat shopkeepers and starving migrants. And also rappers, runaways, normal people at a protest… Without any order or sense. Only those who remain where history erased their paths will find themselves in a steppe, or in a desolate, contaminated and empty jungle.

Thanks to an addiction to alcohol and loud parties, Gloria’s life spins out of control. Her boyfriend dumps her and she loses her job in New York. Ultimately, she is forced to return to her hometown in the hopes of starting life anew. However, the move doesn’t change Gloria’s life – now, she just hangs out in an old friend’s bar every evening. At the same time, an enormous monster attacks Seoul, ruining everything in its path, and soon Gloria understands that these events are somehow fantastically connected with her. This new film by Spanish director and Oscar winner Nacho Vigalondo (“Timecrimes,” “Open Windows”) deftly balances between a disaster film and a romantic comedy. Anne Hathaway stars.

Documentary. USA, Denmark 2016, 90 min. Directed by Jon Nguyen, Rick Barnes, Olivia Neergaard-Holm. In English with Russian subtitles. A childhood in Montana, student years in Philadelphia, first experiences in film and the search for his own path in art: this documentary film describes the beginnings of the career of the American cult classic director. The man himself tells a story in which painting, art, and film are closely connected, and it is from this very connection that David Lynch’s art is born. At the heart of the film are home videos and twenty interviews, filmed filmed over the course of three years in Lynch’s studio. At the Venice Film Festival, the film was nominated for the Venezia Classici award for best documentary film about the cinema.

Two Irishmen, connected by a young woman, meet with a group of criminals at an abandoned warehouse who plan to give them a cache of weapons. The deal is a bust, and a game for survival begins. Ben Wheatley, director of the dystopian "High-Rise" and the hallucinatory drama "A Field in England," returns with yet another experiment. Martin Scorsese produces.

Action/Thriller. Indonesia 2016, 117 min. Directed by Kimo Stamboel, Timo Tjahjanto. Starring: Iko Uwais, Chelsea Islan, Sunny Pang. In Indonesian with Russian subtitles. A young man, unconscious and with a bullet in his head, washes up on the shore of an Indonesian village. When he is revived in a local hospital, it becomes clear that he remembers nothing of his previous life. Ailin, the doctor responsible for hi, names him Ishmael, taking the name from Moby Dick. Ishmael and Ailin set off for Jakarta to remove the bullet fragments from his brain, but on the way, they fall into a trap set by the henchmen of a secretive underworld boss named “Father from Hell.” The girl is kidnapped, and Ishmael must save her while dealing with the slowly-returning memories of his past – which he himself might not have wanted to remember. An action flick by Kimo Stamboel and Timo Tjahjanto, which continues the tradition of the “Raid” series. The leading role is played by Iko Uwais, star of Gareth Evans’ films.

Casey and Jonas are neighbors, and madly in love with each other. Their despotic parents forbid them from being together, and the only escape for the two children is to run away from home. After mugging a local drug dealer, the lovers take flight. Casey’s father, a corrupt police sergeant for whom the stolen money was intended, sets off after them. Nathan Morlando’s crime drama had its world premiere at the most recent Cannes Film Festival. For Bill Paxton (“Predator 2,” “Titanic,” “Edge of Tomorrow”), the role of Casey’s father was one of his last.

In English with Russian subtitles. In 1939, Nazi Germany has just begun the Second World War by invading Poland. The Warsaw Zoo has suffered greatly from bombings: a number of animals died, others ran away, and still more were actually taken as prizes by the Germans. Jan Zabinski and his wife Antonina decide to use the now-unoccupied areas of the zoo to hide Jews sneaking out of the Warsaw ghetto. The film is based on the real story of a Polish zookeeper’s family, who earned the title of Righteous Among the Nations for hiding Jews during the Nazi occupation.
