The long-awaited continuation of the Bridget Jones saga, 11 years after the most recent movie’s release. The film is based on newspaper columns by Helen Fielding from eight years ago.

In the 1930s, young Bronx native Bobby Dorfman (Jesse Eisenberg) arrives in Hollywood in the hopes of finding a job in the film industry, where his uncle Phil (Steve Carell) works. Phil is a well-known Hollywood agent, and Bobby discovers the world of film stars, backstage drama, and the high life, while falling in love with Phil’s secretary (Kristen Stewart). Woody Allen’s 47th full-length film has a full complement of celebrities: Corey Stoll, Parker Posey, Blake Lively, and Sheryl Lee, alongside the aforementioned Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart, and Steve Carell – and opened the 69th annual Cannes Film Festival. The legendary Vittorio Storaro (“Apocalypse Now,” “The Last Emperor,” “Dune”) served as cinematographer.

Based on the novel by Vladislav Vancura. Three acquaintances – a swimming pool owner, a major, and a priest – while away a rainy summer, and try to outdo each other with lofty rhetoric. One day, a traveling circus comes to their little town, featuring the tightrope walker Arnostek and his charming spouse, Anna. The angelic Anna has an unmistakeable effect on the trio. Now, each of the friends dream of winning her favor…In this atmospheric, sensitive film, the director was able to portray the subtle developments of his characters’ souls with stunning clarity. After the screening, there will be a Q&A with the director.

A biographical thriller from director Oliver Stone, based on Luke Harding’s book, “The Snowden Files: The Inside Story of the World’s Most Wanted Man,” and Anatoly Kucherena’s “Time of the Octopus.” The role of the agent is played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

The story of Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, who on 15 January 2009 landed a plane with two failed engines in the Hudson River in New York. Nobody on board was seriously hurt. As a result, the event was called the “Miracle on the Hudson,” and Sullenberger was considered for official government recognition. But in spite of the admiration shown by the public, the relentless scrutiny of the press and the public investigation into the incident put the pilot’s reputation and career on the line, completely changing his life in the process. Clint Eastwood’s 37th film, based on the memoirs of the famous American pilot. The role of Sullenberger was played by Tom Hanks.

Drama/Horror. Great Britain, France 2015, 115 min. Directed by Brady Corbet. Starring: Robert Pattinson, Stacy Martin, Liam Cunningham. In English with Russian subtitles. France, at the end of the First World War. A young American named Prescott has recently moved with his parents to Paris. His father works for President Woodrow Wilson, but his work devours all his time. Meanwhile, Prescott’s mother is a devoutly religious woman, who spends the better part of every day praying. Due to this lack of attention, the boy quickly turns into a problem child. After yet another one of his outbursts, Prescott is kicked out of school and is placed under house arrest. The only person who seems to care about Prescott’s behavior is a maid named Mona. After she is caught secretly bringing the boy food, Prescott’s mother kicks her out of the house, and thus lets all her son’s fury loose in his desperate desire for freedom. A British historical drama from director Brady Corbet, based on Jean-Paul Sartre’s novella of the same name, about the childhood of a future fascist leader - and about the nature of fascism in general - starring Robert Pattinson, Bérénice Bejo, and Liam Cunningham. Recipient of the Luigi de Laurentiis Award and a prize for best direction in the Horizons programme at the 72nd Venice Film Festival.

In spite of their best efforts, the couple can’t manage to conceive children: several of Isabelle’s pregnancies have already ended in stillbirth, and it is slowly driving her mad. One day, a small boat washes ashore with a baby, and Isabel convinces Tom not to tell the coast guard, but to instead take the baby in as their own. When the girl grows older, they meet a woman named Hannah, whose daughter disappeared into the sea at roughly the same time as Isabel and Tom found theirs. Alicia Vikander, Michael Fassbender, Rachel Weisz, and Caren Pistorius star in the screen adaptation of the M.L. Stedman novel
