Blade Runner 2049
11:30, 16:20, 21:40. Fanatasy/Thriller. USA, Canada, United Kingdom 2017, 163 min. Directed by Denis Villeneuve. Starring: Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Ana de Arms, Dave Bautista. In English with Russian subtitles. Officer K works in a special division of the LAPD, specializing in trapping runaway androids – a blade runner. One day, he is granted access to an ancient secret which, as far as he understands, puts the entirety of human existence in jeopardy. Wishing to find the key to the mystery, K decides to track down Rick Deckard, a former blade runner, who disappeared without a trace many years ago. A sequel to the 1982 masterpiece, filmed by Denis Villeneuve and produced by Ridley Scott. The soundtrack was created by some of the greatest contemporary film composers: Hans Zimmer and Jóhann Jóhannsson.

Drama. Sweden, Denmark, Finland 2017, 107 min. Directed by Janus Metz. Starring: Stellan Skarsgård, Shia LaBeouf, Tuva Novotny. In the original with Russian subtitles. The fateful match of two international tennis stars: the restrained Swede Bjorn Borg (Sverrir Gudnason) and the explosive American John McEnroe (Shia LaBeouf). The face-off concludes with a clash between two contrasting personalities, driven by similar motivations and goals. A drama by Danish director Janus Metz, who also filmed the second season of “True Detective,” dedicated to the famous 1980 Wimbledon final, to be remembered as one of the most famous and charged tennis singles matches of all time.

A film by one of Russia’s essential documentary directors, Vitaly Mansky (“Pipeline,” “Under the Sun”), dedicated to the director’s life and family relations living in different corners of Ukraine – Lvov, Odessa, Kiev, Donbass, and Crimea. The film’s storyline, shot over the course of the year immediately after the victory on Maidan, follows the events in Crimea and the war in Donbass, exposes the deep roots of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

Drama/Thriller. USA 2017, 103 min. Directed by Peter Landesman. Starring: Liam Neeson, Diane Lane, Marton Csokas. In English with Russian subtitles. The story of the most talented character in the Watergate scandal, which brought President Richard Nixon to the point of resignation. FBI agent Mark Felt became an informant for the Washington Post reporters who broke the story. Felt hid behind the codename Deep Throat, after the 1970s porn film with Linda Lovelace of the same name – and entered pop culture history along with it. A spy thriller with Liam Neeson, about the life of outstanding and uncompromising deputy FBI director Mark Felt, who sacrificed his family, career, and freedom so that the world could learn the truth.

Melodrama. Hungary 2017, 116 min. Directed by Ildikó Enyedi. Starring: Géza Morcsányi, Alexandra Borbély, Zoltán Schneider, Ervin Nagy. In Hungarian with Russian subtitles. Endre is the quiet but well-intentioned director of a Hungarian slaughterhouse. He often dreams of turning into a deer, wandering around snowy woods, and hopelessly tries to start a friendship with another graceful animal of the female persuasion. One day, a new coworker named Mária appears, and it turns out that she has the same dreams as Endre. Hungarian director Ildikó Enyedi’s surrealistic opus, which won a Golden Bear at the 2017 Berlinale.
